First Concert Band Music Release by Excelcia Music Publishing

Posted in

Lakeland, Florida (May 23, 2019) –  Built upon the decades of experience publishing high-quality band music that composer, publisher and educator, Larry Clark, brings to the industry, Excelcia Music Publishing’s first band music release comprises 50 new and inspiring concert band pieces. The release includes pieces by well-known favorites, including Sean O’Loughlin, Carol Brittin Chambers, Larry Clark, and Carl Strommen.

“Our first concert band release is one of the most diverse, exciting and well-written band music catalogs I have had the pleasure of editing and producing in 23 years in this business,” remarks President Larry Clark. “In just our first year, it is a dream to present these outstanding composers whose pieces were written and selected to inspire educators, students and audiences alike.”

From the powerhouse editorial team of Larry Clark and Tyler Arcari, these new releases offer educators high-quality choices ranging in difficulty from beginner to advanced. Each score, and its accompanying parts, are beautifully set for ease of reading and include unique features to facilitate rehearsals, like oversized time signatures in the scores and measure numbers at every measure on each part.  Free preview scores and professional recordings by the Trade Winds Recording Ensemble conducted by Daniel Schmidt — unparalleled, pedagogical examples of good tone and musicianship — are available as a resource to music educators.

Published in a color-coded series, the concert band music is meticulously edited and follows the strict and standardized six-part grading system developed by Clark and Arcari: Prelude (grade .5), Da Capo (grade 1), Harmony (grade 1.5), Intermezzo (grade 2 to 2.5), Rhapsody (grade 3 to 3.5) and Maestro (grade 4 and up). Composers represented by Excelcia Music Publishing’s new 2019 concert band works are: Tyler Arcari, Jon Bubbett, Carol Brittin Chambers, Larry Clark, Jay Coles, Chris Ferguson, Gene Milford, Michael J. Miller, Jason K. Nitsch, Sean O’Loughlin, Steve Parsons, John M. Pasternak, Matthew R. Putnam, David Samuel, Peter Sciaino, Carl Strommen, George Sweet, Peter Terry, Chris Thompson, and Robert Thurston.

Excelcia Music Publishing’s 2019 new concert band music is available now from music retailers everywhere, and many pieces are available with the SmartMusic software.
