Explore the majesty, mystery, and wonder of the Nativity with this five-movement work for choir, soprano, bass, and orchestra which tells the story of the Nativity according to the Gospel of Luke. Within the full work are two a cappella movements that paint a more intimate portrait of the birth using traditional text and a text by Margaret Deland. Songs included are: Adeste Fidelis; Shepherd’s Carol (a cappella); And There was in the Same Country; O Magnum Mysterium (a cappella); By the Splendor of the Heavens. Work may be performed in Latin and English or English only.
