John Florio

John lives in South Florida and comes from a very musical family. He started playing trumpet in the 8th grade and soon began creating arrangements for his Jr. High jazz band. Since then, he learned to play additional instruments and has become a prolific composer.

John holds a B.S. degree in business from Florida International University and worked in the field of sales & marketing for many years. In 2004, his dream came true when he was able to start his full-time musical career teaching general music & instrumental classes (band & violin) in private and public schools.

Today, John specializes in writing lovely songs for elementary students that are filled with hooks, fun to sing and easy to learn.

In 2021, Alfred Music published John’s original composition titled I'll Remember You (a heart-warming song dedicated to teachers containing a lovely melody, beautiful chords, and endearing lyric all wrapped up in an exquisite arrangement by Andy Beck).

In 2022, Excelcia Music published John’s original composition titled Hello, Mister Sunshine (a fun, bouncy and jazzy song with a cute lyric perfect for elementary students to perform).
