Lakeland, Florida (October 8, 2020) – Launching Flexcel Jazz Combo series, Excelcia Music Publishing continues the success of its Flexcel Concert Works series with the release of four new flexible holiday works for Jazz Combo, arranged by Blair Bielawski.  Providing genuine flexibility with charts that can be used with as few as three wind players up to as many players as needed, the Flexcel Jazz Combo series is ideal for today’s music classroom where student numbers and instrumental make-up are changing by the day.

“I have always loved writing for smaller ensembles and it seemed like an ideal time to create practical and musical arrangements that would work with everything from a standard jazz set-up of Trumpet/Tenor/Trombone to less traditional instrument combinations like Flute/Clarinet/Bassoon and everything in-between” said Blair Bielawski, Jazz Editor.

Like all pieces in the Flexcel Concert Work Series, Flexcel Jazz Combo series charts come with photocopy permission and digital parts copy access for remote learning.  The Flexcel Jazz Combo series also features play along rhythm-section tracks for each piece which can be used as a tool with students in and outside of the classroom for rehearsal or performance.

These newly engraved, flexible grade 3 combos are scored in 3 parts by key (not by instrument) with lines in C, Bb, Eb, and Bass Clef.  With the Flexcel Jazz Combo series charts, jazz educators can mix and match any of the three lines.  For further options and flexibility, lines for Horn in F, Tuba and octave adjusted Tenor Saxophone are included.

The entire Flexcel Jazz Combo series itself is a complete concert experience for the holidays.  New titles in the series, arranged by Blair Bielawski, are Go Tell It on the Mountain, Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, We Wish You a Merry Christmas and Joy to the World.  Each piece is available for $45.
