Excelcia Music Publishing Discovers New Depths with Adaptable Sea Shanties Release

Posted in

Lakeland, Florida (July 20, 2022) – Excelcia Music Publishing announces the release of Adaptable Sea Shanties, the latest trios in its flexible Adaptable Ensemble Series for string or wind and percussion instruments. Written at accessible 1.5-3 grade levels, this new collection features 16 well-known and re-discovered sea shanties.  The viral resurgence of the sea shanty makes this the perfect addition to any modern music library.

“What started as a wonderfully unexpected fad in 2020 has become an obsession for me! There is so much great music out there and I’m excited that young musicians are enjoying this resurgence of sea shanties,” commented Tyler Arcari, composer and Director of Music Production and Editing.

Designed to be used with any combination of wind instruments and/or percussion (in the Wind series) or string instruments (in the Strings series), the Adaptable Ensemble Series remains at the forefront of flexible music.  Like all books in the Adaptable Ensemble Series, the line scoring arrangement in Adaptable Sea Shanties offers sound pedagogic progression from small chamber to full ensemble playing.

Arranger Tyler Arcari uses his experience in writing flexible music to bring Adaptable Sea Shanties to your adaptable library. Other books in the Adaptable Ensemble Series by Matthew R. Putnam and Tyler Arcari (with Editors Robert Clayson- Percussion books, Diana Traietta- string books) include Adaptable Duets, Adaptable Trios, Adaptable Trios for Christmas, and Adaptable Quartets.  All books in the series, including the Adaptable Sea Shanties, are available for Flute, Oboe, B♭ Clarinet/Bass Clarinet/B♭ Trumpet/Baritone T.C., Alto Saxophone/Baritone Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, Horn in F, Trombone/Baritone/Bassoon, Tuba, Percussion, Violin, Viola, Cello and Bass instruments.
