Lakeland, Florida (November 19, 2020) – Excelcia Music Publishing’s new solo vocal collection, Accessible Solo Repertoire Series, 10 Folk Songs and Spirituals, contains fresh arrangements from renowned composers/arrangers in the vocal and choral communities.  Covering all voicings — with one book for Medium Low Voice (Alto and Baritone) and another for Medium High Voice (Soprano and Tenor) — the books are perfect for at-home learning, solo festival use and private lessons, in-person or virtual.  Each book is also available on the publisher’s popular E-book digital platform.

Leading composers/arrangers Patti Drennan, Steve Parsons, Jamey Ray, Ruth Elaine Schram, John Maclane Schirard, Connor Warren Smith and Bruce W. Tippette, created new arrangements of long-time favorite folk songs and spirituals.  Titles include Simple Gifts, Poor Wayfarin’ Stranger, Danny Boy, Somebody’s Knockin’, The Water is Wide, All Through The Night, Deep River, Skye Boat Song, He’s Goin’ Away and Shenandoah.

“This powerhouse group of passionate and talented composers have arranged beloved spirituals and folk songs with a fresh new take that singers will love,” remarks Choral Editor Jamey Ray.

A vocal addition to the popular Accessible Solo Repertoire Series, each solo vocal collection includes reference recordings for all vocal ranges in the book and professional piano recordings for practice or performance. Also available in E-book, the digital version includes virtual distribution and a digital audio recorder which allows singers to make recordings of themselves to share for feedback and evaluation.  E-books can be used at home — or anywhere — on any browser or device with an internet connection.  Each E-book is password protected, and for their protection, no data is collected from students or singers.

Books in the Accessible Solo Repertoire series are available for Medium Low Voice (Alto and Baritone), Medium High Voice (Soprano and Tenor), Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass, Flute, Bb Clarinet, Alto or Baritone Saxophone, Bb Trumpet, Trombone or Euphonium and Percussion.  Each book in the Accessible Solo Repertoire Series – including the vocal collections – is available for $14.99 from music retailers everywhere and from excelciamusic.com.
