Program Notes
“Northstar Fanfare” was commissioned by the North Syracuse, NY Central School District. The piece was written to be played by all band musicians in the district in a mass band performance. The work is intended to be a celebratory fanfare that honors the outstanding school district and its exceptional music programs. It is part of a commissioning series by the district to inspire music students by playing the music of living composers.
