Program Notes
Writing “Winds of Persistence” was so much fun! This level 2 composition celebrates the continuing journey of the Kiser Middle School Band Program and its students during the long and fruitful tenure of band director Tammy R. White, a Bassoonist whose favorite band piece is Frank Erickson’s Rhythm of the Winds. Tenacity, grit, determination, and the relentless pursuit of excellence describe both Mrs. White and this special band program in Greensboro, NC. Armed with these thoughts, Winds of Persistence was born.
