Program Notes

“Fiddle Holiday” came about after hearing a lovely fiddle folk ensemble playing over the loudspeakers of a department store. While listening, I walked right by some Christmas decorations that were out almost six months ahead of the holidays! My obvious distress at seeing the untimely placement of Christmastime baubles aside, I couldn’t help but imagine that all of a sudden, the fiddle group was playing a fun rendition of wintertime carols.

“Fiddle Holiday” is my attempt to—with a positive and “timely” twist—make that imagination a reality.
