PlayinTime™ Productions, Inc. is dedicated to publishing the best music and music educational materials for teachers, students and music hobbyists. The ever-expanding catalog currently includes The Yamaha Advantage® complete band curriculum, the Yamaha Advantage® Band Series, Solo Series and Recorder Series all co-authored by Larry Clark and Sandy Feldstein as well as books by Wynton Marsalis and percussion books by Vic Firth and Ignacio Berroa.

An historic event for Percussion Education combines the talents of two of the most well respected names in the field of Percussion, Vic Firth and Sandy Feldstein.

Drumset & Latin Percussion Instruction
Best known for his work with Dizzy Gillespie, Afro-Cuban and Jazz drummer Ignacio Berroa was born in Havana, Cuba, in 1953. He grew up in a musical family beginning his musical career by training to become a classical violinist following his father footsteps, before turning his sights to drumming. He studied at The National School of Arts and later at Havana's National Conservatory. Equally adept in Jazz and Latin percussion, Berroa recorded and performed with artists like Tito Puente, Charlie Haden, Chico Buarque, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Chick Corea, and João Bosco. He is passionate about education, and has written educational drumset books and presented clinics around the world.
Giovanni Hidalgo began playing percussion in his native Puerto Rico at the age of five. He is the son of the great percussionist Jose “Manengue” Hidalgo so while growing up; his home was full of interesting instruments to play.
Gio, as his friends affectionately call him, began adapting the traditional rudiments of snare drum playing into his hand drumming. This practice helped him develop his incredible technique. Combinations of single, double and triple strokes and rolls have become part of his unique sound, incredible technique and musical approach to performing. When anyone hears or sees Giovanni Hidalgo perform they are impressed by his technique, his musicianship and his ability to make the music come to life.
Wynton Marsalis
Wynton Marsalis is a world-renowned trumpeter, bandleader, composer, and a leading advocate of American culture. He presently serves as Managing and Artistic Director of Jazz at Lincoln Center, the Director of Jazz Studies at The Juilliard School, and President of the Louis Armstrong Educational Foundation. He made history as the first musician to win Grammy Awards in both Jazz and Classical categories in the same year. His composition "Blood on the Fields" was the first Jazz composition to win the Pulitzer Prize for Music.
