Dear Choral Directors,

Welcome to Excelcia Music Publishing’s digital 2020 Choral music catalog.

I am delighted to introduce our 22 outstanding new choral pieces from a group of incredibly talented composers and arrangers.  Our 2020 release includes pieces with messages of hope, compassion, beauty and courage, themes that will particularly resonate in this moment with choirs and audiences everywhere.  And again this year we include new arrangements from the popular a capella group, Voctave.

In these unusually challenging times for music education with school closures and remote learning, you’ll find this innovative digital catalog to be both fast and easy to navigate and filled with inspiring music.  Right here within this digital catalog, you can access many resources, like composer insights and pop-up Score Videos (listen to a full recording while viewing the score).  Use these tools to simplify your selection process as you imagine the future and plan for when your students are back together.

I have chosen music with voicings from unison/two-part up to SATB divisi.  Published in Excelcia Music Publishing’s color-coded voicing series, each new octavo is meticulously edited and beautifully set for ease of reading.  Professional recordings of each piece by the Trade Singers are available on all streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music and Google Play.  You can use these high-quality recordings with your students as pedagogical examples of musicianship - a particularly helpful resource during this time of remote learning.

Here, you will also find Excelcia Music Publishing’s Meet the Composer videos, Podcasts, Founders Club, and our unique Composer Connection, which provides unparalleled connections between our composers and directors and their students.

Each year at Excelcia Music Publishing we publish artistic, high-quality choral music by composers who are sensitive to and passionate about the needs and educational aspirations of young musicians.  This year in particular, my heart is with all of you, your students and your communities as we navigate the weeks and months ahead.  I hope that this new music will provide a source of inspiration.
