Lakeland, Florida (December 12, 2019) – Excelcia Music Publishing is expanding into Jazz Ensemble Music with the hiring of industry veteran Blair Bielawski to the position of Jazz Editor.  In addition to being an accomplished composer and arranger, music educator and performer, Blair brings to Excelcia Music Publishing a wealth of knowledge and experience in the areas of Jazz Ensemble Music and Elementary Music. With Blair as Jazz Editor, Excelcia Music Publishing will launch its first Jazz Ensemble Music catalog in Spring 2020.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to join Larry Clark and the team at Excelcia Music Publishing,” Blair Bielawski said.  “I feel like my experience in music publishing has come full circle from when I started at Jenson Publications in 1983… and now again back to where the music comes first.”

“It is exciting to expand Excelcia Music Publishing into the Jazz Ensemble area,” Larry Clark, President of Excelcia Music Publishing, said.  “Blair Bielawski is the perfect fit for this endeavor. He is a publishing industry veteran, a well-known Jazz composer/arranger, and a Jazz artist. He has a proven reputation of building Jazz music catalogs with other publishers, and we are thrilled for him to join our team.”

Holding a BA from Carroll University (Waukesha, WI) and an MA from the University of Wisconsin, Blair has over 70 compositions and arrangements in print, as well as many commissions for college, high school and middle school groups throughout the United States. His music for Jazz Ensemble has been published by Hal Leonard, Lorenz/Heritage JazzWorks, Alfred and Kendor.  Blair has been recognized by ASCAP for his compositions for Jazz Ensemble and Vocal Jazz Choir. His music has appeared in many network and cable TV shows, and he has performed with various artists, including Natalie Cole, Tony Bennett, Aretha Franklin, the Temptations and the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. As a clinician, he has presented educational workshops for Ohio, Colorado, Minnesota, Illinois, California, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Florida Music Educator Conferences and has been the featured speaker for sessions in London, Toronto and Vancouver.
